On April 13, 2003 Christine lost her life tragically in a house fire near The Ohio State University campus along with four of her close friends which included Erin DeMarco, Andrea Dennis, Alan Schlessman, and Kyle Raulin. Within a short period of time afterwards, plans were set in motion for a memorial 5K Run/Walk for Christine. A few neighbors and the Wilson family then agreed to form a charitable, non profit 501 C 3 foundation in Christine’s memory to turn this tragedy into a positive and to reach out to help others in the community in Christine’s name.  The founding four Trustees Include two neighbors and friends (Mark King & Dean Knisley) along with Christine’s sister (Elizabeth Wilson) and father (Tim Wilson)
